“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
- Carl Jung
G'day,
Thanks for stopping by. I am a later-in-life psychologist who changed career paths after realising a corporate career wasn't going to provide me with the life purpose I was seeking. I believe starting later in life has given me different perspectives and a life-based foundation. Whilst maintaining you as the central focus and author of your challenges, I bring a solid, lived-experience-informed perspective to the therapeutic space and to the very important client-therapist working alliance.
Having my own mental health story, having faced stressors relating to minority membership, having life challenges with belongingness in adolescence and adulthood, and spending decades building a professional background, only to then pursue becoming a psychologist [living with purpose], has allowed me to genuinely empathise with, connect with, and relate to the modern-day challenges and stressors my clients have to juggle and bring to the therapeutic space.
I hope to support you on your own journey.
Keith
