Answering Common Inquiries
01
How do we begin the therapeutic journey?
You can choose to access my services as a private paying client.
A Medicare Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) allows eligible patients to claim Medicare benefits for up to 10 individual and 10 group therapy sessions per calendar year with mental health professionals. It is designed for those with a diagnosed mental disorder requiring a structured approach, often involving GPs, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists.
Alternatively, private health funds may provide cover for mental health services according to the level of cover you have selected.
If you are in financial hardship, you can have a conversation with me about the possibility of finding a suitable rate. This is done by exception and will require evidence of your financial situation

What characterises my clinical philosophy?
I integrate evidence-based practices with a compassionate, person-centred approach. Together, therapeutic or outcome goals are created. I will provide evidence-based care in a safe, minimalist environment that fosters deep reflection.
03
What is the standard frequency of care?
To maintain clarity and momentum, we might typically meet once a week. However, we regularly review your progress and can adjust the cadence of our work to suit your evolving therapeutic journey.

How do I protect patient confidentiality?
Your privacy is my essential priority. My practice follows strict professional and ethical standards regarding records and communications, ensuring our sessions remain a safe haven for private work.
